Superior Equipment means superior copies!
Superior image quality is obtained by a 1:1 direct imaging optical system. There is only a high quality macro lens between the film and the ccd camera. No mirror to gather dust and reflect room lights and no dark corners. Absolutely zero flicker. Film copied by the image being projected into a device with an internal mirror, then recorded onto a video camera almost always has an annoying flicker during play back and dark edges of the image. This is not the case with the direct image transfer system. My machine also uses an led to project the image instead of a standard projector bulb, therefore eliminating any chance for heat damage to the film. Obviously, the copy can only be as good as your film quality. Your film will get a double cleaning and inspection included in price before transfer. In some cases a blank leader may have to be added to your film at no charge. I will however splice several rolls together and wind onto a large reel with a can for storage and ease of transfer. Advantage of being spliced together is you are storing four larger cans versus say 16 small 50 foot rolls. Flat pricing is $5.00 per 3" spool for cleaning and transfer, and that includes the dvd and paper sleeve. I normally record on 2 hour speed on the DVD for best quality, which will get about 1 hour of film per DVD. I currently can copy 8mm silent and super 8 silent movies, and now 8mm, hi8, and vhs-c video cassettes. I recommend USPS flat rate boxes which include tracking info. I will return them to you normally via USPS.
